!BIOGRAPHY: Sir Robert Douglas of Glenbervie, Baronet, THE BARONAGE OF SCOTLAND, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1798, p. 386. "VI. Alexander, son of his uncle John, second son of Alexander, No. IV. of these memoirs, before mentioned. "This Alexander having obtained a resignation from his cousins, Janet and Giles, the heirs of line, got a charter of the whole lands of Rasay, etc. dated 19th August 1692, and was thereupon infeft. "He married Katharine, daughter of Sir Norman MacLeod of Bernera, by whom he had a son and successor."

Catherine, dau. of Sir Norman MacLeod, 1st of Bernera, 3rd son of Sir Roderick Mor Macleod, 15th of Dunvegan, and had issue.
